Kenya safaris that start in Nairobi, through the great southern parks, ending at the Indian Ocean coast. Giving you the full picture of Kenya, from the vast, red-dusted wilderness of Tsavo, the Kilimanjaro-framed elephant plains of Amboseli, and then the white sand and warm water of Diani Beach.

The parks along the Nairobi–Mombasa corridor are among Kenya's finest: Amboseli National Park delivers the country's most top elephant sightings, set against the cloud-capped backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Tsavo East and West together form one of the largest national parks in the world, with red-dusted elephants, lion prides, leopards, crocodile-filled rivers, and landscapes that feel genuinely untouched.

Salt Lick Lodge in the Taita Hills adds a unique overnight experience, a stilted lodge above a waterhole where wildlife congregates through the night.

Ending in Diani, for a dose turquoise water, white sand, and total stillness.

How the journey works

Most of our Nairobi to Mombasa safari packages run over five to eight days, though shorter and longer options are available on request.

Departure is from Nairobi, with Game drives through Amboseli and Tsavo are conducted in private 4×4 safari vehicles with pop-up roofs for unobstructed wildlife viewing and photography.

At the end of your safari, we transfer you directly to your beach accommodation in Diani, Mombasa, or wherever on the coast you prefer.

Travellers who prefer not to make the full overland journey can opt for the Madaraka Express SGR train, boarding at Voi after your Tsavo game drives and arriving at Mombasa station in comfort.

Every itinerary we offer can be adjusted. If you want to spend more time at Tsavo and fewer nights at the beach, we can do that. If you'd like to combine this route with the Maasai Mara or Lake Nakuru before heading south, we can extend the itinerary accordingly.
