On a single journey you can watch the herds cross the Mara's plains, then travel south into Tanzania to stand on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, a collapsed volcano where lions, elephants, rhinos and flamingos share one enclosed world.

What can you see on a combined Kenya and Tanzania safari?

The parks on this route are among the most celebrated wildlife destinations on earth.

On the Kenya side, the Maasai Mara delivers the Big Five and, between July and October, the drama of the migration crossing the Mara River. Amboseli offers vast elephant herds against Mount Kilimanjaro, with the mountain itself rising just over the border in Tanzania, a fitting bridge between the two countries.

On the Tanzania side, the Serengeti stretches to the horizon and holds the migration for most of the year, from the southern calving grounds in the green season to the northern plains in the dry months.

The Ngorongoro Crater packs an extraordinary density of wildlife, including one of East Africa's best chances of seeing black rhino, into a single caldera.

Tarangire, with its elephants and ancient baobabs, and Lake Manyara make natural additions on the way through.
