Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Arrive in Entebbe Airport and be transferred to city hotel.

Overnight: Hotel No.5/Protea by Marriot/k Hotel Entebbe

Meals: Breakfast

 

Day 2: Entebbe – Transfer to Bwindi by flight

You will be picked from Entebbe hotel and be transferred to the airport for a flight to Bwindi departing at mid-morning.

Arrive at Kihihi Airstrip and be picked by our guide and transfer you to Bwindi, Buhoma section. This is 1 hour, 30 minutes scenic transfer to the lodge. Arrive in time for lunch.

The afternoon is spent relaxing by the lodge.

Day 3: Trekking Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi National Park

Another highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! 

Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike, it may take 3 to 8 hours.

Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorilla. But it will be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest.

You will carry packed lunch on this day.

Note: For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes.

Day 4: Bwindi – Transfer to Entebbe by flight

After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi for your flight back to Entebbe. Flight departs at 9.45a.m. to arrive at 11.25a.m. Connect with outbound flight.
