Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Dar Es Salaam – Transfer to Selous, By flight

You will be picked from your Dar Es Salaam hotel and be transferred to the airport for a morning flight to Selous.

You will arrive and be met by camp’s guide who will give you the 1st game drive en route to the camp for lunch.

Afternoon game driver is at 4p.m. Ruaha is known for boat safaris, walking safaris and game drives.

Overnight: Roho Ya Selous/Sand Rivers Camp/Selous Serena Camp

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 2 & 3: Selous – Full-day game drives

Spend these two days exploring Selous with picnic lunches. You will also have an opportunity for a boat ride and guided walking tour.

Overnight: Roho Ya Selous/Sand Rivers Camp/Selous Serena Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 4: Selous – Transfer to Ruaha by flight

Have breakfast then be driven to the airstrip for a flight to Ruaha. Upon arrival, be picked by camp’s guide who will give you introductory game drive en route to the camp. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m.

Overnight: Jabali Ridge/Kwihala Camp

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 5 & 6: Ruaha – Full day game drive

Have breakfast then depart with picnic lunches for full-day game drives.

Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives.

Optional Activities: Sun downers, bush breakfasts & guided walks

Overnight: Jabali Ridge/Kwihala Camp

Day 7: Ruaha – Transfer to Dar by flight (Can connect to Zanzibar or Kilimanjaro)

Have early breakfast, check out of the camp and have a final game drive as you head to the airstrip for a flight to Dar Es Salaam.
