Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Entebbe – Transfer to Bwindi by flight
You will board a mid-morning flight to Bwindi. Arrive in Kihihi Aistrip and be picked by lodge’s guide and transfer you to Bwindi, Buhoma section. The day is spent on leisure or guided community walks.
Overnight: Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp/Bwindi Lodge/Buhoma Lodge

Day 2: Trekking Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi National Park
The day will start with early breakfast at the lodge/camp then transfer to park’s headquarters for briefing by park rangers of rules and regulations of gorilla trek. You will be allocated a family to visit. Thereafter, begin the trek which can take 3-8 hours depending on location of the allocated family and also speed of your group. This trek is a guided one. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you meet the gorillas. But it will be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! Trek back after picnic lunch to the start point and be driven to the lodge/camp for relaxation.
You will carry packed lunch on this day.
Note: For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour.
Overnight: Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp/Bwindi Lodge/Buhoma Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 3: Bwindi – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth by road, Approx. 3 – 4 hours
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4p.m.
Overnight: Kyambura Gorge Safari Lodge/The Bush Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth – Game drive and boat cruise
Have breakfast then depart for a morning game drive till lunch time. Return to the lodge for lunch and later have a boat ride in Kazinga Channel where you will meet a good number of birds, see elephants walking on the shores of the lake and the locals going about their activities.
Overnight: Kyambura Gorge Safari Lodge/The Bush Lodge

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth – Transfer to Entebbe by flight
Have breakfast then a transfer to the airstrip for a flight to Entebbe.
