Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Samburu (Approx. 5 hours)

You will be picked at 6a.m from your Nairobi hotel and immediately depart for Samburu passing through the equator line to Samburu land. You will have a game drive en route to the camp. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m. for 2 hours.

Samburu Park has unique residents including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich.

Overnight: Soroi Samburu Lodge/Soroi Larsens Camp/Ashnil Samburu Camp

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 2: Samburu – Full day

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique northern-Kenya species such as the reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy's zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of table-top Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals are taken at the camp.

Overnight: Soroi Samburu Lodge/Soroi Larsens Camp/Ashnil Samburu Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 3: Samburu – Transfer to Lake Nakuru (Approx. 5-6 hours)

Have breakfast and immediately depart for Lake Nakuru to arrive by lunch time. Have a game drive once you arrive en route to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m.

Overnight: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge/Sarova Lion Hill/The Cliff

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Masai Mara, Approx. 5 hours

Have early breakfast and immediately depart for Masai Mara through The Great African Rift Valley and Narok Town. You will arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4p.m.

Overnight: Zebra Plains Mara Camp/Olkinyei Mara Tented Lodge/Ilkeliani Camp/Entim Camp/Zebra River Camp

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 5: Maasai Mara – Full-day game drive

This day is spent on a full-day game drive with picnic lunch.

Optional Activities: Balloon ride and Cultural visit

Overnight: Zebra Plains Mara Camp/Olkinyei Mara Tented Lodge/Ilkeliani Camp/Entim Camp/Zebra River Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 6: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Lake Naivasha, Approx. 5 hours

Have early breakfast at the camp, then depart Mara for Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Afternoon is spent with a boat ride to Crescent Island.

Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge/Sawela Lodge/Chui Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 7: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Amboseli, Approx. 5-6 hours

Have early morning breakfast then depart for Amboseli National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4p.m.

Overnight: Praro Amboseli/Ol Tukai Lodge/Tawi Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 8: Amboseli – Morning and afternoon game drive

Spend this day with morning and afternoon game drives.

Overnight: Praro Amboseli/Ol Tukai Lodge/Tawi Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 9: Amboseli – Transfer to Tsavo West, Approx. 2-3 hours

Have an early morning game drive then return to the camp for breakfast. Thereafter, leave Amboseli for Tsavo West Game to arrive by lunch time. Have an afternoon game drive with a visit to Mzima Springs.

Overnight: Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge/Finch Hattons

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 10: Tsavo West – Transfer to Tsavo East, Approx. 2 hours

Have early morning game drive then return to the camp/lodge for breakfast. Thereafter depart for Tsavo East to arrive before lunch time. Have a game drive en route to the lodge/camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4p.m.

Overnight: Ashnil Aruba Lodge/Satao Camp/Voi Wildlife Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 11: Tsavo East – Transfer to Diani, Approx. 3 hours

Have another pre-breakfast game drive, return to the lodge/camp for breakfast then depart for Diani. Be dropped off at booked hotel.
