In Samburu, marvel at the unique wildlife adapted to the arid landscape, including Grevy’s zebras and reticulated giraffes.

Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli (By Flight)

Pick up from your hotel at 6a.m, transfer to Wilson Airport for an early-morning flight to Amboseli. Arrive and have first game drive en route to the camp. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4p.m.

Overnight: Tortilis Camp/Tawi Lodge

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 2: Amboseli – morning & afternoon game drives

Amboseli – Morning and afternoon game drives

Optional Activity – Balloon ride and Cultural visit

Day 3: Amboseli - Transfer to Loisaba (By Flight)

After breakfast, have a transfer to the airstrip for a flight to Loisaba via Nairobi. Arrive in Loisaba and be picked by the camp’s guide who will drive you to the camp a game drive en route. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m. or relax at the camp.

Overnight: Loisaba Tented Camp..

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch &Dinner .

 

Day 4: Loisaba - Full day

Enjoy this day with an early morning game drive and another one in the late afternoon.

Optional Activities; Horseback riding & guided walks.

Overnight: Loisaba Tented Camp.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

 

Day 5: Loisaba – Morning game drive – transfer to Loisaba Star beds

Have breakfast then check out of the camp and head to Loisaba Star Beds with a game drive en route.

Overnight: Loisaba Star Beds

Day 6: Loisaba – Transfer to Samburu by road

Have early breakfast then head further North to Samburu. Arrive just before lunch time. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m or relax at the camp.

Overnight: lephant Bedroom Camp/Sasaab Lodge

Day 7: Samburu – Morning and afternoon game drives

This days, have morning and afternoon game drives. Optional activities: Walking safaris, Samburu village visit and birding adventures

Overnight: Elephant Bedroom Camp/Sasaab Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 8: Samburu – Transfer to Maasai Mara by flight

After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for a scheduled mid-morning flight to Maasai Mara. Be met by our guide and transfer to the camp for lunch. There will be a game drive after lunch.

Overnight: Mara Bush Camp (Private Wing) or Entim Camp/Leopard Hill
Camp/Kichwa Tembo Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 9 & 10: Maasai Mara – Morning and afternoon game drives

These 2 full days have morning and afternoon game drives.

Optional activities: Walking safaris, balloon ride, Maasai Village visit and night game drives.

Overnight: Mara Bush Camp (Private Wing) or Entim Camp/Leopard Hill Camp/Kichwa Tembo Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 11: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Kisumu – Entebbe – Bwindi (All by flight)

Have breakfast then be transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Entebbe departing Mara at 8.45 a.m. to arrive in Kisumu at 9.50 a.m. The flight have short stop in Kisumu for immigration purposes.

Depart Kisumu for Entebbe at 10.30a.m. to arrive in Entebbe at 11.30 a.m. You will connect with a flight to Bwindi departing at 12.45 p.m.

Arrive in Kihihi Aistrip at 1.55 p.m. and be picked by lodge’s guide and transfer you to Bwindi, Buhoma section. The day is spent on leisure or guided community walks.

Overnight: Bwindi Lodge/Sanctuary Gorilla Camp

Day 12: Trekking Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi National Park

Another highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi!

Especially hikers will. love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike, it may take 3 to 8 hours.

Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorilla.

But it will be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience!

You will carry packed lunch on this day.

Note: For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour.

The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes. After trekking, return to the lodge for relaxation.

Overnight: Bwindi Lodge/Sanctuary Gorilla Camp

Day 13: Bwindi – Relaxation

Relax by the lodge or taking guided walks or visit the local community with a local guide.

Note: The activities can be done interchangeably depending on availability of gorilla permit.

Overnight: Bwindi Lodge/Sanctuary Gorilla Camp

Day 14: Bwindi – Transfer to Entebbe, by flight

After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi for your flight back to Entebbe. Flight departs at 9.45a.m. to arrive at 11.25a.m. Connect with a flight back home once you land in Entebbe.
