This 12 day safari takes you to Kenya's renowned safari destinations, such as the Tsavo West, Amboseli, Nairobi, Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Lake Naivasha and the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Visit the Tsavo West for diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes, Amboseli for magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro as well as herds of elephants and other wildlife.

The Samburu National Reserve is home to several unique wildlife species such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, and Somali ostrich.

The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is located in central Kenya and is home to several endangered species, including black and white rhinos, chimpanzees, and the last two northern white rhinos in the world.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake located in the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by lush forests and home to a variety of bird species, hippos, and other wildlife.

Maasai Mara is one of Africa's most famous wildlife reserves, where you can witness large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and other animals as they cross the Mara River, as well as view predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs in action.

Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Tsavo West, Approx. 5 hours

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel at 6.30a.m. and immediately drive to Tsavo West to arrive before lunch time. Immediately have a game drive as you head to the lodge/camp for lunch. In the afternoon visit Mzima springs where you will view the crocodiles and hippos swimming under water. You will also be driven to the “shetani” lava flows and have a view of Chyulu Hills too.

Overnight: Kilaguni Serena/Severin Safari Camp/Finch Hattons

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 2: Tsavo West – Transfer to Amboseli, Approx. 2-3 hours

Have breakfast then depart for Amboseli. Arrive by mid-morning. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4p.m.

Overnight: Kibo Safari Camp/Ol Tukai Lodge/Tortilis

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 3: Amboseli – Morning & afternoon game drives

Spend this day with morning & afternoon game drives.

Optional activities -Balloon ride & Cultural visit

Day 4: Amboseli – Transfer to Nairobi, Approx. 4 hours

Have another early morning game drive then return to the lodge/camp for breakfast. Thereafter, depart Amboseli for Nairobi. You will have a brief stop at Giraffe Centre before lunch at Carnivore Restaurant. Be dropped off at booked hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5: Nairobi – Transfer to Samburu, Approx. 5 hours

Be picked from your Nairobi hotel at 6.30a.m. and immediately depart for Samburu passing through the equator line to Samburu land. Enjoy views of different plantations along the way, it is a scenic route. You will have a game drive en route to the camp. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m.

Overnight: Samburu Ashnil Camp/Elephant Bedroom Camp

Meals:Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 6: Samburu – Full day

Spend this day with morning and afternoon game drives with the rest of the time spent at the camp. All meals are taken at the camp.

Optional activities: Cultural visit

Overnight: Samburu Ashnil Camp/Elephant Bedroom Camp

Meals:Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 7. Samburu – Transfer to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Approx. 3 hrs

Have breakfast and depart for Sweetwaters to arrive before lunch time. After lunch, enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. You will also visit a Chimp sanctuary.

Optional activities - walking safaris escorted by a local ranger, bird watching, horseback riding and night game drives.

Overnight: Sweetwaters Serena/Jambo Mutara/Ol Pejeta Bush Camp

Meals: Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 8: Ol Pejeta – Transfer to Lake Naivasha, Approx. 4 hours

Have breakfast and immediately depart for Lake Naivasha to arrive by lunch time. Afternoon is spent with a boat ride to Crescent Island.

Overnight: Loldia House/Chui Lodge/Lake Naivasha Resort

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Maasai Mara, Approx. 5 hours

Have an early breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch at the camp. Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive at 4 o’clock.

Overnight: Zebra Plains or Basecamp/Sarova Mara Game Camp/Entim or Mara Bush Camp/Kichwa Tembo Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 10 & 11: Maasai Mara – Full day game drives

On these 2 days, have breakfast then depart for full-day game drives in search of the big five and many other wildlife. There will be picnic lunch along Mara River or a good spot chosen by your guide.

Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives with the rest of the day spent at the camp.

Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village & guided nature walks

Overnight: Zebra Plains or Basecamp/Sarova Mara Game Camp/Entim or Mara Bush Camp/Kichwa Tembo Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 12: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Nairobi, Approx. 5 hours

Have breakfast, then depart for Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch be dropped off at the hotel.
